Comprehensive solutions to high temperature handling offered by IPR, Booth #2802

Handlers, pneumatic fasteners, seventh tracks and tracks for general industry use or for smelting plants at high temperatures, or even custom fasteners are part of the comprehensive solutions offered by German company IPR; whose acronym is translated as Intelligent Peripheral for Robots. According to Javier Ortiz, general director in Mexico, IPR is capable of providing handlers of pieces in smelting environments of 1,472 °F; 2,192 °F, and even 2,912 °F; in addition to special products for ideal working in harsh environments typical from smelting sector.  Among the solutions offered by IPR are equipment for robots specially designed for a specific application, either on robots for linear movement, or for precise range on outlined areas; or to hold specific pieces, or programming movement on a rail. The development of solutions by IPR is comprehensive and customized to specific requirements. “It is a fact that all of those industries that require using a robot, are able to use products by IPR, our expertise is in the automotive industry…where we have our main know how developed, but it is also a fact that IPR products can be used in the packaging sector, in the handling products industry, in a distribution center… we have a design department where we can propose custom products if the standard product as originally made doesn’t work, our engineer and service department work on it to become functional, adapting it or integrating it to a bigger system in order to make it useful in every type of industry”, said Ortiz. Founded in Germany 30 years ago IPR started to sell in Mexico 20 years ago and 12 years ago established corporate offices in Mexico City and a service office in Monterrey to assist northeast Mexico. The IPR staff in Mexico is formed by 16 members that work on logistics, administration and marketing in addition to engineering and design departments to be able to install and deliver turnkey projects. The company has a complete line of products for high temperature, but also has a complete line of standard products for not so demanding applications or average working not so harsh environments. In Mexico, IPR has recently installed the biggest existing gantries on the country successfully, by a combined length of 140 m, 4 liberty axes, and charge capacity of 650 k on each. On every products and solutions by IPR, there are different ranges of capacity, from 3 k until 1 ton, products for different weight types and environments, and special applications. In Mexico, one of the main challenges the company has overcome, is to be recognized all over the country, and other challenge overcome has been the construction of his own plant to show the gantries to the customers working at all. Ortiz concluded with an invitation…”we wish to tell FABTECH attendees to visit our stand, where we will have a robot demo, a new line of designs, as on linear tracks as on products, we are presenting axes manufactured on concrete, making them cheaper than those manufactured on steel, reducing the environmental impact, we are launching other standard products and we also want to offer an integration choice, in which the customer could receive notifications through SMS or a mobile app”.
