Sherwin-Williams will set trends at FABTECH Mexico with Ecological Powder Paint

The coating is essential in metalworking processes because they not only protect but also improves the aesthetics of the components, which is why the presence of Sherwin-Williams in FABTECH Mexico is of vital importance, as it offers customers products and processes of surface finishes that are key to achieving optimal quality in the manufacture of metal components.

FABTECH is an event that allows attendees to “realize the innovations that are happening today in production processes. Often, we get workshop blindness,” said Ana C Gonzalez, Marketing Specialist at Sherwin-Williams.  She explained that this often results in a limitation for plant personnel not to advance in issues of improvement and innovation in processes and applications with suppliers and customers. For the metalworking sector, this company, based in Cleveland, Ohio, has specific technology and products for coating mainly focused on two areas. “The first and foremost is to protect the product against corrosion, chemical attacks, or environmental impacts. The second, just as important, is to beautify the product with a finish that makes it attractive. In the end, love enters through the eyes; a product with a good finish can make a difference in the purchase,” said Gonzalez.

In Mexico, the American company offers three types of technology: Liquid (water-based or solvent), Powder paint (polyester, hybrid, polyester, etc.), and Electrodeposition.

In 2023, Sherwin-Williams will emphasize its Powdura ECO eco-friendly powder technologies. “We are the pioneers in the market with this type of technology, and we want to talk to the Mexican market about the advantages of this product,” concluded the marketing specialist.
