Cometel to introduce metal conveying and segregation solutions at FABTECH México2023

Cometel, founded in 1987, is a Spanish company specializing in turnkey solutions for metal recycling. Since 2004 it has been established in Mexico, where it has had a production plant in Querétaro since 2007. Since 2011, he has exhibited at FABTECH, the most important event in the metalworking sector in Mexico, where he presents solutions and innovations to the market.

In 2023, Cometel will present its material conveying and segregation solutions for stamping processes, which include customer support from design to manufacturing, assembly, and tuning of each key.

Miguel Montes, Commercial Executive of Cometel, commented that Mexico is one of the leading markets for the company due to the large influx of companies in the automotive sector and considered that the arrival of Tesla would generate many internal investments in the country, in addition to the proximity to the United States will also attract many investments. He added that nearshoring represents a trend that will benefit Mexico in terms of new projects for manufacturing.

Cometel is a metal separation and revaluation leader and works along with the Tier 1 and 2 automotive sectors. The company designs, manufactures, and integrates integral solutions from three business lines: necessary for stamping scrap management, turnkey solutions for machining burr treatment, and critical metal recycling solutions with metal waste recover systems.

Eider Aguirre, Business Development and Marketing Executive at Cometel pointed out that customers usually have non-automated scrap processes with unplanned production stops and manually manage metal waste, representing the consumption of non-productive hours. The complexity of segregating different materials such as steel, aluminum, or other types is added to this.

The experience and technology used in Cometel bring benefits in the segregation of materials and the revaluation of metal, with which the client obtains economic advantages and contributes to circular economy processes and environmental sustainability. Likewise, cleaning in the plant improves, which also translates into increased risk prevention policies.

At FABTECH México 2023, the Cometel team will have the opportunity to learn about new market trends and meet new, historical customers and agents in the sector, such as the automotive sector. Aguirre considers this event significant for the Spanish firm since “it allows us to present its solutions and know first-hand the market’s needs.”
