With laser marking and micro percussion solutions, Solumark will be exhibiting at FABTECH 2023

Traceability is a manufacturing activity with accelerated growth in recent years, mainly due to the constant incorporation of information systems. Laser and micro percussion marking systems on metalworking have yet to escape this trend, which will be relevant during the 2023 edition of FABTECH Mexico.

Solumark, a company founded in 2022, will be exhibiting at the leading metalworking fair in Mexico to show technology innovations never presented in the country before. Nicolás Parizon, founder and partner at Solumark, considers FABTECH a pillar for Mexican manufacturing. “It is the first time we have participated as Solumark, but I know the show very well because I have represented another company more than five times at this fair. Those editions showed that the ROI is always excellent, with quality contacts and even direct sales at the expo.”

FABTECH’s relevance in metalworking is crucial for Solumark’s marking technologies since its impact on industries such as Automotive, Household Appliances, and Oil and Gas generates an ideal environment to publicize technological advances in traceability and the benefits it brings to the operating results of manufacturing companies.

GLOBAL NEED

Companies Must now comply with high standards in marking and coding, as it ensures the monitoring of processes related to traceability and the product life cycle, in addition to allowing different manufacturers to link reliably in the production chains with flows of well-identified and controlled components and subcomponents.

At FABTECH 2023, Solumark will exclusively present industrial marking and traceability equipment from Technomark, a French company. Those visiting their booth will be able to see up close the characteristics of micro percussion equipment (both portable and integrable to production lines) and fiber laser marking equipment (also with mobile stations and components for production areas).

Some of the equipment shown at FABTECH Mexico is entirely digital and aligned to Industry 4.0 concepts, which are 100% portable and work with wifi or cellular links, which helps mark parts at various points within a factory or in the field using a lithium battery.

“Attendees will be able to see and even use the equipment, so they become familiar with the scope they have and can even relate it to the needs of their production line,” says Parizon.

AUTOMATED MARKING

Solumark will also install a micro percussion solution integrated with a robotic arm designed to reach places for great depth in workpieces at the Exhibition. “We will carry a laser with an embedded camera that allows parts positioning to ensure the place where an operator must make the marking and thus avoid defects or even guarantee the operator’s safety.”

The French-born businessman details that Mexico became a trendy country in terms of investment, and the concept of Nearshoring created a demand for goods manufactured in Mexico to satisfy mainly the US market. “Companies from all sectors are investing, mainly in the automotive sector, which now, with the arrival of companies like Tesla, unveils evidence of the quality of manufacturing that will be required in the country, from national and foreign companies establishing themselves in Mexico.” Parizon emphasized that manufacturing companies must upgrade on technology and training issues and resort to operations and services that allow them greater visibility, control, and predictability of all their components throughout the manufacturing chain.
