KOMATSU will introduce a 200-ton press at FABTECH Mexico

FABTECH is undoubtedly a leading event in the metalworking industry because it is a vital platform for the exhibition of advanced equipment, machinery, and services. The 2024 edition, which will be held in Monterrey, promises to be a crucial meeting point for professionals and companies.

Juan Carlos Herrera, commercial manager of KOMATSU in Mexico, highlights the relevance of this trade show: “FABTECH represents a critical window to exhibit a whole series of equipment, machinery, and services that are available today to serve the metalworking industry.”

The advantages of attending FABTECH are manifold, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to update themselves on the new technologies, applications, and services available. “It’s an opportunity for people to get to know what’s on the market today, to keep up to date, to review new technologies and new applications, whether it’s machines, software, or services,” Herrera emphasizes.

The fair also presents an opportunity to learn about Industry 4.0 technologies and how to improve communication between machines, a crucial aspect of production efficiency.

200-Ton press

In the 2024 edition, Komatsu has ambitious plans. “Within FABTECH, we will offer laser equipment, plasma, and, of course, presses, either traditional mechanical or servo-motorized,” Herrera explains.

The company intends to bring a 200-ton press with servo technology to Monterrey, taking advantage of the venue’s capabilities to exhibit heavy machines. This press, noted for its lower deflection and higher accuracy, represents a significant advancement in stamping and die-cutting technology.

Interaction with attendees is an essential component of Komatsu’s participation in FABTECH. “It is essential for us to have contact with different customers to be able to exchange information, understand their requirements, and review their needs,” says Herrera. This relationship allows us to offer comprehensive and personalized solutions according to the challenges of each client.

Tech updating

Herrera suggests that all metalworking sector professionals should attend FABTECH. “It’s a fairly flexible space where you’ll find all kinds of machinery for forming and manufacturing; that’s, all kinds of metalworking applications, and that will allow them to have that range of opportunities to choose what suits them best.” The 2024 edition of FABTECH in Monterrey will be a showcase for the latest innovations in the sector and a space for learning, exchange, and growth for the manufacturing industry in Mexico.
